Recorded in kanawha state forest in west virginia on a dr70r with shotgun mic. Some clean up and noise reduction with rx8 in reaper. It's a small mountain creek but it's pretty prominent in the sound, i'm about 10 feet away. I also have a version where i bring down creek noise, check the profile.

Been downloading off this site for ages and thought i'd give something i recorded back. I drank from a glass bottle by a mic to recreate a character in a film drinking some beer from a glass bottle. 24 bit 44100 khz sound recorded with zoom h6. The area is very close to the magical small village of krippen, germany. The river flows undisturbed - at some point though you can hear a car passing by. Its tires interact with the wet asphalt creating yet another interesting sound effect.

A small collection of gurgles from a small water dropper/pipette. Recorded using a blue yeti microphone at 16-bit 44100hz in audacity. Used audacity's noise removal filter to to remove background noise. For this file, i isolated the samples i liked and left a small gap of silence between them for separation later. Attribution appreciated but not required.

A few minutes of a thunderstorm recorded from my window in atchison kansas at around 10:30 pm. You can faintly hear the neighbor kid's tv on the other side of the wall in the background. Recorded with lifecam hd3000 sitting on my bed about a meter from the 2 open windows facing east.

This is version 2 of an atmos recording of a busy beach during the summer. In this version i have my back to the sea so it picks up more of the goings on on the beach itself. Recorded on a tascam dr-40 using internal stereo mic. See version 1 for atmos recording where i am facing the sea.

A vigorous spring rain-shower with some beautiful, far-off thunder. This was recorded on march 27, 2021 in a campground in illinois. One of the thunder strikes is so intense that you can hear the screen door rattling!recorded using the marantz pmd661 and the beyerdynamic 8010 omnidirectional microphone. Seem like these intense rain/thunder events could be more common. By the way, the very next day after this was recorded -- while many were sopping up water in their basements -- the day broke beautifully sunny, with not a cloud in the sky. Welcome spring!.

Gentle sea wash recorded on at the beach about half an hour away from my house. The audio was captured with a high quality sennheiser shotgun microphone (i forget the model sorry) into a tascam dr100. A foggy july morning. The recorder was placed on a rock about 30cm from the edge of the water which was moving very slowly. The waves were really shallow and soft. You can hear uk songbirds in the wooded area behind the recorder and seabirds in front of it. Occasionally you can hear a foghorn in the distance. Olympus ls-5, int mics, deadcat, 35hz hp @6db/oct, 5:30am.

This was recorded with my 9-year old for a phone app called tiddl. The app was developed to interrogate whether cats could be entertained with a phone app. The recording features torn and crumpled paper, little noises we use to attract our cat, casio. I made this using audacity to reform and change the frequencies for a few sounds i recorded at my desk which were made with a lighter, imitating the sound of a water drop with my voice, a rotating object hitting different things (cans, lighter, wooden desk, etc. , my creaky chair, me imitating a fly with my voice and finally, tapping on an empty can.

It sounds like a the last few strokes of a saw going into a rusted metal pipe with water on the inside. It's actually the sound of pulling closed my sink stopper. . . Go figure. Walyunga is a haven of peace and tranquility just outside of perth. It's one of my favourite hikes in the area, as it's only a couple of hours long and combines proximity to water, a bit of a climb, stunning views of perth's skyline, solitude, and gorgeous flora and fauna. This recording was done in june, 2020 using a tascam dr-05x.

A recording of flushing the toilet’s water, followed by a groaning door closing sound. Production stages : this sound was originally recorded by a group of students at university lyon 3. Then it was imported to audacity where few modifications were made. First of all, the record was precisely cut so there are no human voices in the background. Then, the sound was normalized and slightly compressed before applying the noise reduction effect. Last, but not least a constant gain was added at the beginning and lightly fading effect took his place at the end. The waves come a fast, regular intervals; this isn't the slow rolling crash of a barrel wave on the beach. There was a bit of wind (generating the waves) which i've did my best to minimize, but if you don't want wind in the recording you're going to need to edit around it.
